The WPSNE has organized a two hour service event for our society on Saturday, August 25th from 10 am to 12 pm at Cradles to Crayons, a local human services organization located in Brighton. Cradles to Crayons is a not-for-profit in Boston with a three step model that provides kids with the essentials they need, free of charge. Their model enables Cradles to Crayons to engage communities that have, connecting them with communities that need:

New and nearly new children’s items are collected through grassroots community drives and corporate donations.Donations are then processed and packaged by volunteers in our warehouse, The Giving Factory. Packages from The Giving Factory are distributed to local disadvantaged children through our collaborative network of diverse service partners.

This event is suitable for all ages including children, 5 years old and older.

OPTIONAL Donation: $25 per family or individual (All donations benefit Cradles to Crayons.) Please also consider donating a bag of gently used children’s clothing if you have access to these needed items.

The Giving Factory is a warehouse environment and it is not climate-controlled. Volunteers are encouraged to wear closed-toed shoes and clothing they do not mind getting dirty.

The Giving Factory is located at 155 North Beacon St., Brighton, MA. For driving and MBTA directions, please click here for a Google map. Parking is limited. Please do not park in the New Balance parking garage or in spaces designated for CORT Furniture. On-street parking is available on North Beacon Street and on-street, two hour parking is available on Etna Street and Life Street.
