Alex Renaud is the winner of the WPSNE 2017 Patton Family Leadership Award

The winner of the WPSNE Patton Family Leadership Award for 2017 is Alex Renaud of Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School. The award was presented by PFLA Chair Tom Smith ’71 at the high school awards night on June 7th with Mrs. Joanne Patton in attendance.
Alex is near the top of his class with a 4.23 weighted GPA with the most challenging Advanced Placement curriculum. He is a member of the National Honor Society.
Alex will be co-captain of the school soccer team as a senior, and has been Junior Varsity basketball captain previously. Alex plays piano in the Jazz Combo, bass in the Concert Band, and sings tenor in the A Capella group. He has served as a student representative for his class, and participated in the Model UN. He also has been a Freshman Mentor, a youth basketball coach, and an active participant in the school’s community service program.
The purpose of the Patton Family Leadership Award is to recognize the outstanding leadership achievements and character of a secondary school student completing his or her junior year at Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School.  In making this recognition, it is the intent of the West Point Society of New England to promote the ideals of the United States Military Academy as articulated in the Academy’s motto, “Duty, Honor, Country”.  Additionally, this recognition is intended to further the values ascribed to the Patton family throughout its storied history.
